Emilee graduated from Granville Business College’s VOA program and did her practicum at our hospital almost a decade ago. She went into the veterinary field because from a young age, and she wanted to work with animals and make their lives better. She has a special interest in small animal nutrition, client education, and challenging canine and feline behaviour cases.
Emilee grew up in Alberta and Saskatchewan and spent many summers working on a horse farm. She also took care of three miniature horses one year and spent over 12 years competing in jumping competitions herself. She loves to spend most of her free time in nature hiking, or elbow to elbow at a live show somewhere downtown Vancouver, with music being a big passion in her life.
Her family pets consist of an orange tabby Devon Rex cat named “Evie,” and a black rescue cat named "Freddie Mercury." She really enjoys spending a little bit of extra time with a nervous dog or cat, so that their veterinary experience is a more positive and less fearful one. She loves that South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital has such a like-minded, compassionate team of individuals who all consistently strive to provide the highest quality care for your pets.
