I chose the Veterinary field as I have always had an interest in a variety of animal species and enjoy the ability to apply my science background with the addition of client education. I studied at Douglas College in the Veterinary Technology Program.
Veterinary medicine is a continually evolving field, and I love the ability to continually develop and learn new information and skills to better improve the lives of animals and forward science for the future. One of my interests is in laboratory pathology and technical skills associated with it.
I love the SBVH family and all of the different areas of expertise each individual brings to the hospital. We are a busy hospital, but our ability to provide compassionate care to clients, pets and one another are extremely important to me.
Growing up, I was involved in the pipe band community in both Alberta and British Columbia. I have had the opportunity to travel to Scotland to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships, as well as various other highland games across the world.
