Jessica has been working in veterinary medicine since 2016 and recently joined the SBVH team after completing her practicum and graduating from Douglas College's Veterinary Technician program in June 2023. She comes from a background of working in both emergency and general medicine, and volunteers her time at the Marine Mammal Rescue center.
Her passions in veterinary medicine include dentistry, diagnostic imaging, preventative medicine and client education. Jessica believes that patient care starts first at home with the owners, investing knowledge in pet owners in order to work together to provide their pets with the highest standard of health care. She is also Fear-Free Certified and is an advocate for patient wellbeing and safety.
In the past, Jessica has studied culinary arts and hair design, providing professional hair-styling services for brides and their bridal parties all over BC. On her days off, Jessica will never turn down the opportunity to float on a lake or crocheting/knitting on the beach. Otherwise, she can be found on the couch at home snuggling her 3 cats: Peri (it's short for Periscope), Rhys, and Maomao.
